A fresh crop of charismatic collections has arrived just in time for June. From lacquered nesting tables to stippled plaid wallcoverings, here are some of our favorite debuts of the past week.
Kelly Wearstler and Lee Jofa Modern’s Tela collection is brimming with organic patterns. The launch includes 55 landscape-driven fabrics and wallcoverings, ranging from the dashed Stratum and the spotted Pebblis to the fluid-lined Mar and the pixelated Orbis.
GreenRow’s collaboration with the New York Botanical Garden is a bloom-filled masterpiece. Drawing from floral illustrations found in the garden’s rare book archives, the series features more than 100 blossomy designs across furniture, textiles and decor, with highlights such as the powder-coated steel Skipper bistro table and chairs; the hand-painted Silvie tulipiere; and Elizabeth, an upholstered bed frame with a scalloped headboard and contrast piping.
Fete Home partnered with North Carolina–based J. Wilkinson Chair Company on a characterful capsule collection. The line offers three of the latter’s signature monogrammed seats—the Alexander armchair, the Baker armchair and the Everette barstool—in three of the former’s vibrant fabrics, including the floral Eloquence, the nautical Reverie and the botanical Meraki.
Flos added a pair of linear suspension lamps to its ongoing collaboration with French visual artist Ronan Bouroullec. The Luce Sferica is composed of handblown glass spheres inspired by bubbles, while the Luce Cilindrica features two borosilicate glass cylinders with integrated LED strips.
Pierre Frey premiered Shifumi, a line of nesting side tables crafted in collaboration with Parisian design and architecture firm RDAI. Offered in two sizes and multiple finishes, the collection features eight cantilevered wood styles that can be used alone or combined in a slew of space-savvy configurations.
Pepper Home expanded its growing portfolio of made-to-order furnishings with an assortment of sofas and sectionals. Customizable in an array of fabrics and trims, introductions include the tailored Marlow; the sinuous Simone; the gently curved Maron (which is also available with a pullout bed); and the Pierce, a clean-lined number with a sectional-sized counterpart.
Washington-based wallcovering studio Abnormals Anonymous debuted five new patterns for spring. Domino Effect offers a stippled spin on traditional plaids, while Good Vibrations features a kinetic geometric motif. Mighty Monstera and Sail Away showcase graphic illustrations, and White Sisal is a sun-washed grasscloth ground available in a handful of the brand’s bestselling prints.
Swedish rug brand Layered tapped Stockholm-based furniture maker Massproductions for its latest collaboration. The handwoven wool collection, named Cord, features fringed edges and a tactile stripe pattern in multiple sizes and four two-tone colorways, including Black & White, Blue Brown, Burgundy Rust and Yellow Oatmeal.
Herman Miller introduced two moody colorways into the palette of its iconic Aeron chair. Along with the earthy olive green Jasper, the ergonomic design—originally conceived in 1994 by Don Chadwick and Bill Stumpf and now made from more than 50 percent recycled materials—is also available in a deep blue shade named Nightfall.
Rimadesio’s Becoming collection has arrived at its New York showroom. Designed by Giuseppe Bavuso in honor of the Italian brand’s 70th anniversary, standouts from the eight-piece line include the origami-esque Lambda table, the angular Ori chair and the state-of-the-art Syncro architectural system of sliding panels.
British brand Shame Studios teamed up with London artist Cesca Dvorak for the Daze Without End collection. Handwoven in pure New Zealand wool by artisans in Bhadohi, India, the line reimagines the latter’s mixed-media collages as three fringe-trimmed flatweave rugs, including the flowery Charm, Tonic, Armour; the abstract Moving Shadow; and the paper doll–patterned Circle Prance.
Vanguard Furniture dropped nearly 200 new designs just ahead of summer. In addition to 115 fabrics and a dozen trims, intros include the fully upholstered Rove bed; the skirted Elise two-seat sofa; the olive ash–veneered Zyne dining table; and the Davis game table, a Thom Filicia creation with a parchment top, oak posts, and hoof-shaped metal ferrules.
Sheila Bridges released her first line of tableware. Available at Walmart, the limited-edition collection, called Philadelphia, boasts 14 outdoor-friendly melamine pieces inspired by the designer’s childhood hometown, including gingham salad plates, a Harlem Toile–patterned ice bucket, and a serving platter adorned in an illustration of the Liberty Bell.
