OFFICE OF BC is a Los Angeles-based interior design studio working across residential and commercial projects. We are seeking a Freelance Interior Designer to support our residential work. Candidates must be highly organized, have strong technical skills and communication skills.
Working closely with our Principal and Senior Designer, the Designer will support projects from post-concept design development through construction administration. Responsibilities include developing drawing sets, designing custom millwork, preparing presentation materials, and advancing technical documentation with clarity and precision.
This is a part-time freelance position with a minimum two-month commitment and potential to extend. The role offers direct exposure to sophisticated residential interiors and close collaboration with senior leadership on internationally recognized projects.
Responsibilities:
Develop design development drawings and interior construction sets
Design custom millwork, cabinetry, and built-ins
Help prepare client presentation materials such as illustrative elevations and diagrammatic floorplans
Assist with specifications, schedules, and design development documentation
Manage drawing revisions and project documentation
4+ years at a residential interior design firm
Strong technical skills: AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
Experience with design development, construction docs, and millwork detailing
Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
Able to take direction, implement feedback efficiently, and work independently
