Studio Tre seeks an Architectural Designer, with 2-4 years experience in single family high end residential within an established architecture practice to join the growing studio.
Architectural Designer reports directly to the Partner in charge of Architecture, and will assist across a number of residential and commercial/hospitality projects to realize the vision and finer details established by Studio Tre. Candidate must firstly love to draw and design complex design problems. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects on varying timelines, and to be able to nimbly shift from design development and production efforts to communicating with the complex teams involved in manifesting ideas into built realities.
Well-suited candidates will be diligent, highly organized, with a sharp attention to detail, and possess a self-starting team-oriented attitude. Interest and hands-on building experience in varied forms of design, craft, and art is always considered a plus at Studio Tre.
The position is full-time, and requires five (5) days a week presence at the Studio on 20th Street in the Flatiron neighborhood of New York. Candidates must be located in the New York metropolitan area.

Technical requirements :
Completion of a professional degree in Architecture, either B. Arch or M. Arch.
Minimum two (2) years working experience at an Architecture practice. Experience across all phases of design particularly Construction Documents and Construction Contract Administration.
Experience or education working within traditional and historic vocabularies of architecture and art, and familiarity with the design principles underlying "traditional" and "classical" design is considered a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite nd Adobe Creative Suite design management software. Command of Photoshop and InDesign is desired.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and broader Autodesk suite, with a focus on technical construction drawings, and 3D Modeling and Rendering experience (in either Sketchup or Rhino). The ability and desire to sketch and draw by hand as part of the design & communication process is a considered a significant plus.
