Job Description

Paloma Contreras Design, a high-end residential interior design firm in Houston seeks a detail-oriented and technically skilled Project Manager/Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time, in-office position which may require travel to out of state projects. We offer work from home on Fridays. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience at an interior design firm. Applicants must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and should have great multi-tasking and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate is articulate in both verbal and written communication and possesses style and professionalism in keeping with that of our firm. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and should be a self-starter.

Day-to-Day Duties will Include, but are not Limited to:
- Create and manage project budgets, schedules, installation timelines, and project to-do lists
- Prepare materials; schedule and attend client meetings and site visits
- Create and maintain paint, lighting, plumbing, hardware, and tile schedules for contractors
- Produce furniture plans and elevations in AutoCAD or Revit
- Create RFQs for custom furniture and window treatments
- Create installation timelines; organize and oversee installations
- Review and redline all shop drawings to ensure design intent
- Represent firm at meetings with architects, contractors and vendors
- Oversee / manage issues with contractors, vendors and clients. Identify and document problem /conflicts and determine solutions
- Responsible for providing weekly status reports and be prepared to discuss the status of all orders on all projects at weekly staff meetings

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 4-year degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a high-end residential design firm
- Must have excellent skills in AutoCAD or Revit
- Must be very detail-oriented, exceptionally organized, and possess excellent follow-through skills with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience designing, drawing, and producing custom furniture, millwork, lighting a plus
- Self-starter with the ability to work seamlessly with our team
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workflow, and meet deadlines through installation
- High level of detail, organization, and professionalism
- Knowledge of Studio Designer or similar program for creating proposals, purchase orders and invoices is a plus
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, and Dropbox
- Extensive knowledge of fabric, furniture, lighting vendors, etc.
- Must be a team player
