Tino Zervudachi LLC is looking for a Mid-Level Architectural Designer who is passionate, has a high attention to detail, cares about their work, and wants to be part of a collaborative, energetic, growing team in New York. We take great pride in producing innovative, fun environments for our clients and the right person for this job will bring that same energy to our office and team. Our ideal candidate has experience in high-end residential interior design and a strong work ethic.
As a Mid-Level Architectural Designer, you will report directly to the Studio Director, Senior Architect, and Senior Interior Designer.
This position is a full-time role that requires on-site attendance in our Manhattan office. Immediate start.
Responsibilities:
• Produce and coordinate drawing sets, plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and presentation materials.
• Identify coordination issues and proactively propose solutions, rather than simply executing markups.
• Take ownership of assigned scopes and tasks, manage priorities, and carry work through with limited supervision.
• Strong design sensibility and ability to translate design intent into technically resolved architectural documentation.
• Strong understanding of the architectural design and documentation process, from design development through construction documentation and construction administration.
• Good understanding of architectural detailing, materials, finishes, millwork, and interior construction.
Requirements:
• Professional degree in Architecture
• 5–6 years of professional experience in architecture and/or interior architecture, ideally working on high-end residential projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit is essential, with the ability to work efficiently and independently within an established Revit model and BIM workflow.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when working on a large, complex project with multiple consultants and disciplines.
• Immediate start
Despite a global clientele that includes the likes of art dealer Thaddaeus Ropac and financier Nathaniel Rothschild, Tino Zervudachi remains one of the most prominent designers whom many have never heard of. He was discovered at the precocious age of 19 by the acclaimed British interior designer David Mlinaric (whose clients included Mick Jagger), became a partner in the firm in 1987, and bought it outright in 2005. While residential interiors (other than his own homes) are rarely published, Tino has designed British embassies in Washington and Paris, and done projects for London’s National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, and Royal Opera House. Today, the firm has offices in London, Paris, and New York.
