Job Description

This role serves as the primary day-to-day manager of assigned projects, coordinating clients, consultants, vendors, contractors, and internal team members to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with the firm's design standards.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, capable of balancing design excellence with project execution.

Essential Responsibilities
• Manage assigned projects from schematic design through installation and project closeout
• Serve as the primary day-to-day project lead and client contact
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and action-item lists
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and vendors throughout all project phases
• Lead project meetings and distribute follow-up items
• Prepare and maintain project specifications, schedules, budgets, and procurement documentation
• Review proposals, estimates, shop drawings, and submittals for accuracy and design intent
• Coordinate furniture, lighting, plumbing, finish, and accessory selections
• Create and maintain AutoCAD drawings including floor plans, furniture plans, elevations, and custom millwork details
• Assist Principal with design development, presentations, and project strategy
• Conduct site visits and oversee installation activities
• Identify project risks and proactively resolve issues before they impact schedule or budget
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained according to studio standards

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000

Location: Chelsea (in-person/5 days a week)

Job Requirements

Required Skills & Experience
• 3–7 years of luxury residential interior design experience
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field
• Strong proficiency in Design Manager, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Suite
• Experience preparing and managing project budgets and schedules
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawing sets and construction documents
• Experience coordinating with contractors, consultants, and fabricators
• Knowledge of residential construction methods, detailing, and custom fabrication processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
• Proficiency in Design Manager
• International residential project experience
• Experience with custom furniture and millwork development
• Familiarity with luxury furnishings, finishes, and trade resource
