Marika Meyer Studio is seeking a Design Assistant to assist the design team in overseeing high-
end residential projects from concept through installation. The position requires excellent
project management, organizational, client service and vendor management skills in addition to
design aptitude. Also crucial is the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while
maintaining minute attention to detail and balance multiple priorities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Support senior design team through the design process from concept through
installation
● Prepare proposals and pricing estimates for client consideration
● Request and receive estimates and quotes from design showrooms, workrooms, and
vendors
● Coordinate and maintain FF&E schedules
● Assist in creating and tracking orders, and delivery schedules
● Maintain successful vendor, client, and internal team member relationships by
communicating and resolving issues proactively and professionally
● Coordinate and assist with installations
● Organize and maintain an up-to-date sample library
● Manage interns and inspect deliveries as needed
● Coordinate and assist on-site with installations
● Work with office manager/bookkeeper to maintain timely records

Bachelor's degree required (interior design or interior architecture)
● Full time, in-person position with U.S. work authorization (required)
● Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle and be able to travel primarily throughout
Washington, DC Metro area (required)
● Google Suite (proficiency required)
● AutoCAD and Studio Designer (experience preferred)
● Demonstrate motivated, focused, and highly organized approach, with the ability to
adapt to changing directives

detail and strong problem-solving skills
● Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, paired with professionalism and
maturity
