JMA Interior Design is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead the design, management, and execution of luxury residential projects from concept through installation. This position is ideal for a creative, organized, and client-focused professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional design and service. The Senior Interior Designer will oversee multiple high-end residential projects while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, builders, consultants, vendors, and internal team members.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of custom luxury residential interiors, including space planning, furniture layouts, finish selections, lighting, plumbing fixtures, millwork, custom furnishings, textiles, artwork, and accessories. Develop comprehensive design concepts that reflect each client's lifestyle while maintaining the firm's commitment to timeless, sophisticated interiors.
Manage projects from initial consultation through final installation, ensuring schedules, budgets, and project milestones remain on track. Coordinate all phases of the design process, proactively identify potential challenges, and develop effective solutions to keep projects moving efficiently.
Build and maintain strong client relationships by leading design presentations, conducting project meetings, and providing clear, consistent communication throughout each phase of the project. Deliver an exceptional client experience by balancing creativity, functionality, quality, and budget while exceeding expectations.
Collaborate closely with architects, builders, contractors, engineers, and specialty consultants to ensure design intent is successfully executed. Review construction drawings, answer RFIs, conduct site visits, and coordinate field decisions as needed during construction.
Oversee specifications, procurement coordination, shop drawing reviews, and custom fabrication.
