Job Description

Jennifer Miller Studio Inc. is looking for a Design Associate to join our team to work in all aspects of the business. The position of Design Associate will offer a developing interior designer valuable in-depth, hands-on experience within the industry at a thriving design firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sourcing of fabric samples, lead time, pricing
Sourcing of furniture options, lead time, pricing
Paint and finish options, putting together paint schemes
Draw designs of custom furniture, pillows, accessories (sketches and CAD when needed)
Compose mood boards and inspiration images pertaining to projects
Draft elevations and floor plans
Research new products and materials
Project manage custom items on order
Prepare for client meetings and presentations
Gather and pack materials and organize meeting agenda
Write specifications and orders of furnishing
Follow-up on orders placed with lead times
Create budgets, schedules and specifications
Type meeting notes, create project binders and update as projects progress
Assist with installations, coordinate deliveries and handle post installation follow up

Job Requirements

SKILLS:
Degree in Interior Design or Architecture Degree
Minimum of 3 to 5 years interior design experience working at a design firm
Excellent presentation skills, including space planning and drawing
Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT
Knowledge of Studio Designer or Design Manager
Ability to create Excel spreadsheets and Power Point Presentations
Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, In Design and Photoshop
Knowledge of trade resources and vendors

REQUIREMENTS:
Vehicle that can be used for work, auto insurance and a valid driver's license.

Full Time: 35 to 40 hours per week
