ANTIK, the antique business of interiors firm Chused & co is seeking a highly organized, design-minded Store Manager to oversee the day to day operations of our antique and vintage retail business on Atlantic Av in Brooklyn. This position will oversee all aspects of the business, including inventory management, photography, Shopify management, sales, logistics coordination, client outreach, and marketing.
The ideal candidate is equal parts creative and operational. They have a strong eye, love beautiful objects, and genuinely enjoy systems, organization, tracking, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. This person should be comfortable working independently, wearing many hats, and helping grow a rapidly evolving business.
Responsibilities
• Manage the daily operations of the store and ensure smooth overall business function
• Photograph and document all incoming inventory in a clean, consistent, and visually compelling manner
• Upload and maintain inventory on Shopify, including product descriptions, pricing, dimensions, condition notes, and organization of listings
• Maintain accurate inventory tracking systems and ensure all items are properly logged, priced, tagged, and archived
• Coordinate shipping, deliveries, freight quotes, pickups, and logistics for sold items and incoming purchases
• Communicate with clients regarding product inquiries, invoices, shipping coordination, and follow up
• Assist with client outreach, sales, and relationship management
• Help oversee marketing efforts including social media coordination, email marketing
• Maintain organization across all operational systems including inventory records, photography files, pricing spreadsheets, and shipping documentation
• Work closely with principal on logistics of acquisitions, merchandising, and overall business strategy
• Oversee merchandising and styling of the store to ensure the space feels visually compelling, cohesive, and reflective of the ANTIK aesthetic at all times.
Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of antiques, vintage furniture, decorative arts, and interiors
• Previous experience working in a furniture showroom, antique business, gallery, or design related retail environment
• Extremely organized with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable managing many moving parts simultaneously
• Experience with Shopify or similar inventory/ecommerce platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and proactive problem solver
• Ability to lift and move smaller furniture and objects as needed
• Strong visual eye and understanding of presentation, styling, and merchandising
• Photography experience preferred
