JAMES is looking for an experienced, motivated sales associate for our NYC Showroom location. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in customer service and a passion for artisanal textiles and resources. In this role you will work closely with the founders of the company and our existing sales team to foster and build relationships with designers/architects in the Tri-State area. Primary responsibilities include growing existing business and developing new business, maintaining showroom appearance and decor, responding to client/vendor emails and sales inquiries, helping fulfill sample requests, and handling all aspects of order requests from start to finish. This position has the added possibility of outside sales visits to design firms in NYC, CT, and NJ.
Knowledge of the textile industry and high-end luxury design
Excellent verbal/written communication ability
Superior organizational and time-management skills
Uphold the high-level of customer service we have built by ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries and troubleshooting issues
Proficient in Microsoft/Google software with ability to learn our sales/project management software
Ability to multi-task and work independently and within teams
Strong presentation skills
Possible travel within the territory to meet with designers/architects and their teams
