Interior design trend event kicks off in Germany

Passagen 2017 will run January 16 to 22 in Cologne, Germany, celebrating trends in interior design and featuring international manufacturers, furniture stores, initiatives, galleries, showrooms, networks, design offices, institutes and universities.

Cologne-based interior design and furniture firms will participate, including Giorgetti, Fermob and Occhio, and companies including VitrA Bad, Durable, Markilux, and Garten+Design will open their showroom doors. 

Interior design trend event kicks off in Germany

Among the week’s highlights: a celebration of the Kartell and Antonio Citterio partnership, now in its 25th year; an exhibit of furniture and design from the Superstudio group of architects;  “21 Common Things,” an exhibit of everyday objects as well as furniture designed by Thomas Schnur; and an exhibition of the work of interior design scholarship students.
