The International Design Furniture Fair Hong Kong (IDFFHK) is teaming up with Koelnmesse, which produces IMM Cologne. The partnership’s first fair will unfold at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre this coming August. The event’s goal is to offer high-end design and lifestyle product from Asian companies.
“IDFFHK already has tremendous appeal in the Chinese and Asian markets,” says Arne Petersen, vice president of trade fair management at Koelnmesse. “We are firmly convinced that, together with our Asian partners, we can make it even more attractive. In collaboration with IDFFHK, we want to bring together the best architects, designers and products under one roof in and for the Chinese market.”
Of the first satellite event, coming up this summer, Petersen shares, “It is another important element in the strategic international expansion of our event and very much in line with our claim to represent global competence in furniture, interiors and design. Hong Kong is the ideal location to present new, innovative products in a dynamically growing sales market.”
Koelnmesse also produces Interzum Guangzhou, a trade fair designed for the woodworking machinery, furniture production and interior design industry, which will take place in China in March. IDFFHK founder Winnie Yue says, “We are honored to be recognized as the international luxury design event in Asia. The collaboration with IMM Cologne will allow us to set the bar even higher and to promote the Asian lifestyle design industry even more effectively.”
