The CTC&G Innovation in Design Awards, now in its ninth year, will honor this year’s recipients with a May 19 dinner and presentation at the Greenwich Country Club in Greenwich, Connecticut. Barbara Sallick, who co-founded Waterworks in 1978 and today is the company's senior vice president of design, will receive the 2015 Innovator Award.

Sallick, who serves on the board of directors at the Institute of Classical Architecture and Classical America, writes a blog, The Perfect Bath, and has written two books: The Definitive Guide to Designing the Perfect Bath and Waterworks: Inventing Bath Style. Past Innovator Award recipients include John Edelman, Jonathan Adler, Bunny Williams, Alexa Hampton and Jamie Drake.

Barbara Sallick will receive the 2015 Innovation in Design Innovator Award.

CTC&G will also recognize achievement in interior design, architecture, kitchen, bath, landscape and product design categories. This year’s finalists in interior design include Able Construction; Arbonies King Vlock, PC; Blueprint Dreams; Catherine Cleare Interiors, LLC; and Thornton Designs. Judging this year's competition are interior designer Matthew Patrick Smyth, landscape architect Thomas Balsley, interior designer Anthony Baratta, architect Karen Stonely and interior designer Scott Sanders.

A 2014 winner: Kelly & Co. Design's music barn, stone cottage and guest house project

Last year's winning interior design awardee was Kelly Mittleman’s Kelly & Co. Design project, a 50-acre music barn, stone cottage and guesthouse that was finished in a mere six weeks, replete with a custom zinc bar, Murphy beds and a gorgeous vintage wood interior.
