Looking for digital shortcuts that actually work? We asked the New York designer to tell us what’s in her tech stack. From real-time virtual moodboarding to AI-generated photorealistic renderings, the Artisan Design founder shares the digital toolkit powering her firm.

Onboarding: Dani Arps kicks off each project with a platform most clients are already familiar with: Google’s suite of apps. The firm’s questionnaire—which has been enhanced lately with the help of ChatGPT—lives in a Google Doc, and her Google Drive serves as the home base for her client information. “Within each project [folder] are folders for contracts and proposals, schedules, meeting notes, floor plans and drawings, presentations, renderings, FF&E specifications, vendor quotes, budgets, installation logistics, and final project photography. We also maintain shared working documents
for tracking decisions, approvals, and open action items with clients and consultants,” says Arps of the filing system. “Having everything in one place makes it easy for our team, clients, architects, contractors, and vendors to access the latest information without searching through emails. As every project evolves, the contents become unique, but the underlying framework stays consistent.”
