Giancarlo Valle and Jane Keltner de Valle transformed part of their primary suite into a sanctuary for the whole family.
More than a century ago, Elsie de Wolfe reinvented the bathroom, eschewing cold, utilitarian features for furnishings that more closely resembled a luxurious salon. Now, inspired by the generous primary suite of their Connecticut weekend home, Giancarlo Valle and Jane Keltner de Valle of Studio Valle de Valle have picked up the mantle, creating a “bathing room”—a gathering space between their bedroom and bathroom. Functionally, the room is for bathing and dressing, but it has also become a retreat for rest, relaxation and connection.
