Project management: Since Hema Persad launched her firm and shifted away from tracking projects in a sea of spreadsheets, one platform has become her partner for everything client-facing, from finances to documentation: “Our main source of truth is Materio,” she says. The designer introduces her clients to the platform right after intake and mood board sign-off. They receive an invitation to access a client portal, which is where they will communicate with the firm’s design team. They can also log in to access information like pricing, specifications, and renderings (which can be tagged with actual products), all packaged in an aesthetically pleasing platform.
