The dog days of summer are dwindling, and slowly but surely, the design world is starting to turn its attention to the cooler seasons ahead. From a rustic Regency-style sofa to a kaleidoscopic garden-themed wallcovering, here are some of our favorite looks among the latest round of launches.
Lulu and Georgia’s fall collection, The Joy of Decorating, is a maximalist’s dream. The series offers more than a hundred statement-making designs dressed in earthy mineral tones and eye-catching vintage motifs, ranging from the bulbous Dolores accent chair and the pleated Portola sofa to the rattan-wrapped Kalani floor lamp and the op-art-esque Nomia rug.
Steelcase dropped two new collections in collaboration with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. The first, Rockford, reintroduces a trio of furnishings originally used in the architect’s wheelchair-accessible 1952 Laurent House, including a spindled lounge chair with a grabbable back rail; a raised ottoman; and a polygonal side table that can be approached from any angle. The second, Galesburg, pays tribute to Wright’s built-in banquette designs and offers a sofa, sectional, lounge chair and ottoman punctuated by rectilinear platform bases.
Kelly Wearstler blessed lighting lovers with a line of minimalist portable lamps. The of-the-moment launch boasts nine sculptural designs adorned in metal accents and organic materials, such as the alabaster stone Una; the etched-crystal-lens-clad Rousseau; and the hand-carved, geometric Tourne.
Rebecca Atwood unveiled her first collection of wallpaper murals. The debut offers three enveloping designs, each available in multiple hues and covered in ethereal hand-painted motifs, including the soothingly stippled Bubbles; a softly speckled coordinating style to continue the pattern onto a ceiling; and Hampton Park, a panoramic landscape of the designer’s favorite park in Charleston.
Pottery Barn debuted an assortment of accessible furniture crafted in collaboration with Michael Graves Design. Each piece in the series—which offers 17 designs spanning seating and case goods—is thoughtfully designed with adaptable features to accommodate a range of physical abilities, such as bed frames with integrated side grips to help with repositioning and an armchair equipped with a chic rear grab rail that provides a safe grip for balance.
The Oasis collection from Innovations will transform your client’s home into an atmospheric sanctuary. In addition to the ombre, flowering-vine-filled Trellis mural and the metallic foil-accented Skylark, standouts from the six-piece line include the shibori-style Pontia and a trompe l’oeil stunner named Morpho that’s modeled after butterfly wings.
Peter Dunham’s latest fabric releases are brimming with color and whimsy. Along with adding two bold new colorways—blue-green Moss/Indigo on White and warm Gold/Olive on White—to the palette for the medallion-style Deeg design, the brand introduced Shani, a block-print-inspired floral linen available in six vibrant hues, including pale pink and purple, and fuchsia and midnight blue.
McGee & Co. dropped its Fall 2024 collection, a love letter to 19th century Regency-style designs. The sweeping launch spans hundreds of antique-driven pieces infused with the brand’s contemporary rustic aesthetic. Among the highlights are the solid marble Twyla end table, the hand-tufted Chandler rug, and the clean-lined Agatha sofa, with its sinuous channel-tufted backrest.
As its name implies, Arte’s newest collaboration with Moooi, Green House, is a botanical masterpiece. Now available in showrooms, the 10-pattern collection draws inspiration from Victorian conservatories and features six garden-themed wallcoverings, including the kaleidoscopic Coccinella Bella, the three-dimensional Lacy Longlegs, and a veneer-inlaid beauty named Woodblock Beetle Fern.
Holly Hunt released Series II, a new line of modern furnishings designed in collaboration with the brand’s founder. The collection introduces seven artfully executed pieces outfitted with avant-garde elements, such as the undulating Ban and Yan side table—which can be combined into nesting tables or used separately—and our current crush, Ursa, an architectural lounge chair with solid wood wraparound arms and a floating upholstered seat.
