The seventh annual “Up on the Roof” event, a Las Vegas Market fundraiser benefitting Gift for Life, netted a record-setting total this year. Special guest Donny Osmond and nearly 500 supporters helped raise $15,735 for the charity, which rallies the gift and home industries against AIDS.

“Las Vegas Market is pleased and proud to once again demonstrate our commitment to assisting Gift For Life and its vital mission of supporting HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, education and advocacy by raising an unprecedented $15,735 at our Summer Market gala,” says Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift Leasing and chief marketing officer at International Market Centers.

The industry soiree included a silent auction of Donny Osmond Home products and meet-and-greet tickets to the “Donny & Marie Show” at the Flamingo Las Vegas, as well as Vegas-themed items and experiences.

“Having Donny Osmond as our special guest was a big attraction and helped us attract a record crowd of 500-plus to raise money for Gift For Life. As the nation’s fastest growing gift and home décor market, Las Vegas Market is proud to support the industry’s charitable efforts, to date raising more than $85,000 for Gift for Life,” says Belshaw.

The $15,000-plus donation will add to Gift of Life’s more than $5 million raised since its inception in 1992. The charity has partnered with DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS, which funds HIV/AIDS service and education programs in the U.S since 2008.
