We are seeking a Senior Architectural Designer to contribute to and manage the coordination, development, and production of residential projects from concept design through construction administration, installation, and project handover.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment, is confident leading teams, and brings strong technical expertise alongside refined design sensibility. The role requires comfort balancing creative leadership, hands-on production, and client-facing responsibilities, while maintaining design integrity throughout execution.
Core Responsibilities
• Lead and guide project teams through all phases of architectural and interior design development
• Manage multiple residential projects simultaneously, maintaining momentum, clarity, and quality
• Serve as a client-facing team member, communicating design intent, progress, and solutions with discretion and professionalism
• Produce and oversee construction documentation, including highly detailed and articulate design drawings
• Demonstrate fluency in traditional architectural vocabulary and the fundamentals of building construction and assembly
• Coordinate and oversee with an extensive consultant team, including MEP, Structural Engineers, Lighting Designers, Landscape Designers, and specialty consultants
• Quickly and effectively resolve site conditions in collaboration with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, maintaining design intent while addressing real-time construction constraints
• Participate in the development of design concepts and presentation materials
• Produce schematic design presentations and architectural drawing sets
• Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules and design documentation
Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum of 8 years of professional architectural experience
• Strong experience in construction documentation and detailed drawing production
• Interest in and experience with traditional architecture and design strongly preferred
• Solid knowledge of construction methods and building systems
• Ability to produce technical documentation (DD, CD, IDD)
• Fluency in AutoCAD, Studio Designer, Rayon, hand rendering
• Strong graphic and visual presentation skills using Canva
• 3D modeling and rendering experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills who values and actively participates in team mentorship, collaboration and development
• Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple deadlines with discretion
