Julie Hillman Design, an AD100 interior design fi rm specializing in high-end residential projects, is seeking an experienced Interior Architect to join our team full-time. This is a unique opportunity to grow within a collaborative team and gain hands-on experience across all phases of the interior design process.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in high-end residential architecture. They will be responsible for preparing detailed design and construction documents, including (but not limited to) custom furniture drawings, floor plans, elevations, and detailed millwork sections. Strong AutoCAD skills are essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the in-house project team to develop the design during Schematic Design and Design Development phases
- Produce detailed furniture layouts.
- Experienced in coordinating and producing a Design Development document set including detailed plans, elevations and detailed millwork sections using AutoCAD.
- Preparing interior schedules, including plumbing, hardware & finish schedules.
- Participate in weekly project coordination calls with external teams.
- Respond to RFIs during the bidding and construction phases.
- Communicate and coordinate with consultants including contractors, lighting designers, landscape architects, and local architects.
- Attend client and site meetings with project design team
REQUIRED AND DESIRED SKILLS
4+ years of architectural-related experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
Highly proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe InDesign, Photoshop or knowledge of any rendering software.
Must be a team player and can work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and be able to problem solve under pressure
Must have legal rights to work in the USA and be able to start immediately
