Job Description

Job Summary
The Designer is expected to contribute to all phases of the design process and will work on both design and project administration tasks with a high-level of production. Applicants must possess a strong desire to learn and excel in a fast-paced studio environment.

The Designer will be responsible for leading multiple projects through all phases of the design process with guidance from Principals
Work collaboratively across multiple design projects end-to-end across high-end residential and boutique hospitality projects
Support all phases of the design process from research and concept development to procurement and installation
Support Principals in project planning / time management / project coordination
Take ownership of specific work streams end to end within each project
Develop presentations, sketches, and renderings to communicate design concepts
Lead materials sourcing, sampling, vendor interfacing, and maintaining up to date knowledge of vendors and artisans
Create and manage furniture plans, elevations, and details
Coordinate with FF&E and various design teams to produce schedules, specifications, plans, elevations, and details in order to ensure design intent is incorporated into documentation packages
Develop drawing and specification packages, and produce accurate documentation as needed in schematic design, design development, construction documentation phases
Coordinate with Procurement Team in the development of Proposals and Invoices
Manage site work, client meetings, construction administration, shop drawing reviews, workroom visits, and project installations
Communicate directly with clients, architects, contractors, millworkers, vendors and consultants throughout the project lifecycle
Participate in project coordination, construction administration, site visits, and maintain quality control during construction as needed
Support installations with oversight from Principals
Travel may be required for site meetings and installs

Job Requirements

Qualifications
A degree in Interior Design or Architecture
A minimum of 4 years of professional interior design experience
Project management and construction administration experience required
Excellent oral and written skills
Highly adaptable, resourceful, organized, with strong problem solving skills
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

Required Software Proficiencies
AutoCAD
Adobe Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign
Ability to 3D model not required, but advantageous
Spexx Software or other FFE Specification Software
Google Workspace
Microsoft Suite

Compensation
Health Insurance: Employer contribution
PTO: Up to 14 paid days based on tenure
Paid Holidays: 8 observed holidays

The schedule is Monday through Friday (9am - 6pm) and based in our design studio.

All applicants must be based in or willing to relocate to New Orleans. Remote work will be considered for applicants based in NYC with significant project management and construction administration experience and able to commute to job sites in the New York area.
