Job Description

Martin Brûlé Studio is an internationally recognized interior architecture and design firm with offices in New York, Paris, and Montréal. The studio is known for its work on high-end residential, hospitality, and cultural projects, combining historical references with contemporary design thinking.

We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to join the studio and support the design team in delivering exceptional projects from concept through completion.

Responsibilities
Design Development
Create and develop conceptual interior design proposals
Prepare mood boards, design presentations, and client materials
Participate in design reviews with senior leadership
Interior Architecture & Documentation
Produce technical drawings including furniture plans, elevations, millwork drawings, and reflected ceiling plans
Prepare construction documents using AutoCAD or similar software
Coordinate finish plans, materials, and specifications
FF&E Development
Source furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E)
Develop detailed FF&E schedules including finishes, materials, lighting, and plumbing fixtures
Research suppliers, artisans, and custom furniture manufacturers
Project Coordination
Support project management and assist in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
Attend design meetings, installations, and site visits
Assist with project timelines, documentation, and communication with clients and consultants

Job Requirements

Qualifications
Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture
Minimum 2–5 years of professional design experience (depending on role level)
Experience working on high-end residential or architectural projects
Strong knowledge of space planning, materials, and construction documentation
Proficiency in:
AutoCAD
Adobe Creative Suite
Presentation tools such as Keynote or PowerPoint
Knowledge of 3D modeling software (SketchUp, Rhino, 3ds Max) is a plus
Strong organization, creativity, and attention to detail
Designers typically work closely with senior leadership and collaborate with the broader design team to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
