The designer’s guide to High Point Market parties and programming

Get ready! High Point is teeming with treasures—you just have to know where to dig. To help keep you on track, we’ve highlighted all of the showroom buildings featured in BOH’s guide to Fall Market (plus other key locations and notable debuts) so you can discover the best of what each neighborhood has to offer. If you take a wrong turn, don’t worry: Just look for the corresponding map colors and motifs on the signs throughout town to get back on course. Happy trails!

At Market Square, search the Antique & Design Center for well-curated rarities, and check out Mississippi-based dealer and new exhibitor Fancy Pheasant’s wares while you’re there (Booth G-65). Then scour the Suites at Market Square for of-the-moment finds, such as Guild Cabinetry’s rattan-inset Margaret door front (G-6058) and Ngala Trading’s whimsically illustrated Monkey Tales napkins (G-6032 & G-6033). Once you leave the building, pop into 220 Elm to check out the new BDI showroom, and take in the Bloom dining table—a sculptural stunner with a satin-etched glass top and a steel base powder-coated in satin bronze (Suite 404). Don’t leave the hood without pulling up to the brand-new Kichler boutique, where you’ll find the 1960s sputnik-style Melle chandelier.

Block off a couple of hours for the IHFC (International Home Furnishings Center) and make sure to track down these three launches during your visit: the multifunctional, wood-clad Capsula ottoman by Renwil (H-203); Momeni’s conspicuously spotted Tigris-1 rug (H-345); and the hand-stamped Etta table lamp by Jamie Young Company (D-223 & IH-505). Don’t leave the building without basking in the warm, ambient glow of Regina Andrew’s Veiller Basin pendant, a geometric beauty with a fan-pleated shade (IH-006). Across the walkway in Showplace, sit-test American Leather’s Holland chair, an architectural eye-catcher with an arch-shaped cutout in its base (Suite 5000).

Hop into Julian Chichester and feast your eyes on the Bow chest, an archival design reimagined with a deep red leather top and a dark limed-oak finish. Walk over to 200 Steele, where Cuvée Home will make its High Point debut inside the Taylor King showroom (Suite 304), showcasing a new collection of lamps and lampshades, such as the hand-blocked linen Ameera Floral shade. Take a beat at Vanguard on the beguiling Vibe chair, a fully upholstered head-turner with deep channels and a concealed swivel base. Don’t leave Hamilton Street without stopping by Gabby to see the cast-stone Sanibel console table, inspired by the undulating movement of ocean waves.

Cut over to Currey & Company and take an Instagram-worthy selfie in the Spratling round mirror by Marjorie Skouras, a vintage jewelry–inspired dazzler with emerald bead accents (IHFC Main, M-110). Next, find Plaza Suites and take five on Joybird’s oversize Amelia Grand swivel chair, now available in a rich gold hue (Suite 100). As you make your way down Main Street, stop at Phillips Collection for the monolithic Strata side table, crafted from resin and crushed stone, then pause at Lancaster’s slip-covered Jolene bench. Last, step inside Essentials for Living and say hello to the Prescott sideboard, a round-edged wonder with a reeded acacia facade and the brand’s new Sand Wash finish.

Head to Broad Hall and seek out these treasures at the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s design hub: Cosentino’s Dekton Amazonik, a new carbon-neutral surface that evokes the look of natural wood; Newport Brass’s knurl-accented Kimbell widespread lavatory faucet; and the Sherwin-Williams 2027 color of the year, a yellowish green hue named Celery (1st Floor).

Swing by Huntington House and make a beeline for the 7789-56 swivel chair, a contemporary wingback wrapped in a vintage-inspired botanical print from P/Kaufmann. Then cross the street to Odette, where antique and contemporary furniture frames get fresh life reupholstered in textiles from 26 artisanal brands—including Bethany Mabee’s boldly banded Madder fabric—through a new collaboration with Atlanta’s Design Social Studio and Nashville-based showroom The Lot.

Carve out an afternoon for 313.Space, and hunt down these masterpieces: the sophisticated Varadero Shell barstool by Alfredo Paredes (Suite 205); the sinuous Selene Traverse light by Freeform Lighting (Gallery 2); and Pooky’s new collaboration with Samuel & Sons, featuring the fanciful Margaux flush mount (M-16 & M-17). Step outside into the Moroccan Courtyard, and look for the striped, brocante-style Ticking Tent, coming to town from October 16 to 18 with an array of artisanal and antique finds. Once you’ve left the premises, head over to the Amadi Collective for Cortney Bishop’s latest line of artful floorcoverings for Amadi Carpets, including the kaleidoscopic Calypso rug. Catch your breath at Diamond Sofa, where you can stretch out on the deep-seated Summit modular sofa, an outdoor-friendly number with a clean-lined teakwood frame.

Stroll over to Cohab.Space and bask in the beauty of the artisan-made designs, including Yael Braha’s graphic stoneware bud vases (1547 W. English Road). Make your way over to Asian Loft to discover its enchanting Haveli bar, an intricately hand-carved showstopper adorned with Indian mahal–inspired moldings (625 W. Ward Ave., Suite 100). Before you call it a day, kick back at Cisco Home on the delightful Montecito dining bench, a customizable charmer available upholstered or slipcovered (1014 Mill Ave.).
