Paris Design Week and Maison&Objet
Paris | September 5–14
Paris Design Week returns with nearly 500 exhibitors throughout the City of Light, featuring design events and programs—including open houses, tours and workshops. This year’s talks include one on the evolution of the designer’s job and another on craftsmanship in the design world. The festival’s largest event, the trade show Maison&Objet (running Thursday to Monday), celebrates its 30th anniversary with more than 2,000 brands in the home, design and gift categories, as well as trend exhibitions for decor, retail and hospitality. The Rug Show
Secaucus, New Jersey | September 7–9
This to-the-trade event at the Meadowlands Exposition Center showcases classic, contemporary, antique and one-of-a-kind rug collections offered by producers and wholesalers from around the world, as well as a designated space for antique rug specialists. For more information, click here.
Brussels Design September
Brussels, Belgium | September 12–30
This growing design festival exhibits works by over 100 Belgian and other European artists and craftspeople across categories like furniture, arts and crafts, jewelry, ceramics, tapestry, and more. Attendees can participate in hands-on workshops, or check out lectures and exhibitions that celebrate emerging talents and ideas at the forefront of contemporary design—this year’s highlights include an exhibit on ecological design and another on paper art with Belgian artist Margaux Baert. Cover Connect New York
New York | September 14–16
The fourth edition of this high-end rug trade show takes place in two Chelsea locations: The Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavilion. Hosted by Cover magazine, 44 brands—among them Ashley Stark Home, Jaipur Living, Rug & Kilim, and Zollanvari—will gather to display a curated selection of handmade rugs. London Design Festival
London | September 14–22
The annual show returns for its 22nd edition, where hundreds of international brands exhibit furniture, materials and lighting, attracting thousands of attendees from across the world. Featured brands include Anthropologie, Fisher & Paykel, and Miele. Programming encompasses presentations, tours, and conversations between experts on trends and issues facing the industry—for example, a talk on human–AI interactions and one on bringing nature indoors. Fall Market at AmericasMart
Atlanta | September 16–18
The wholesale marketplace’s annual fall event showcases hundreds of showrooms in the home and gift categories, including furniture, lighting, rugs and tabletop. Fall Casual Market Atlanta

This biannual market’s autumn edition brings together more than 100 outdoor furniture and accessories vendors across multiple floors inside the AmericasMart—a destination for categories including performance fabrics, umbrellas, fire pits, lighting and pool accessories. Modern Living Symposium: “Inside Outdoor Spaces”

What’s New, What’s Next
New York | September 19
The annual event returns to the New York Design Center, exploring the latest designs, products, trends and materials in the industry across a day of jam-packed programming. This year there are two opportunities to connect with BOH: In the morning at Brown Jordan, editor in chief Kaitlin Petersen moderates a discussion on effective design photography with a panel including designers Christina Kim, Joe Lucas, Courtney McLeod and Noz Nozawa. In the afternoon, join The Business of Home Podcast host Dennis Scully as he sits down with Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams co-founder Mitchell Gold and Surya CEO Satya Tiwari to uncover their plans following Surya’s relaunch of the MG+BW brand.
