Hot off the press: A roundup of the latest design books

Signature Spaces: Well-Travelled Interiors, by Paolo Moschino and
Philip Vergeylen

The pair behind Paolo Moschino for Nicholas Haslam Limited, AD100 designers Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen, reveal their process in Signature Spaces. In addition to profiling their residential projects, the book dives deep into their lines of furniture, lighting, fabrics and accessories, as well as their inspirations, catalogued with hundreds of images. Chez Moi: Decorating Your Home and Living Like a Parisienne, by Sarah Lavoine
Room by room, interior designer Sarah Lavoine’s new book guides readers through contemporary French style—and lifestyle. Also included: a catalogue of her local shopping go-to’s throughout the City of Light. (Abrams)
 


Developing: My Life, by William Zeckendorf Jr. with Joan Duncan Oliver
This memoir follows the career and life of New York real estate icon William Zeckendorf Jr. It follows Zeckendorf’s 50-year marriage and partnership with wife Nancy and explores his many residential projects in New York, as well as his properties, hotels and arts center in Santa Fe, where the couple later retired. (Andrea Monfried Editions)


The Cappellini Method: A Performing Dream, by Francesca Serrazanetti
This book chronicles the career and adventures of the Cappellini’s art director, Giulio Cappellini, along with the work of the designers whose careers he has launched: Jasper Morrison, Marcel Wanders, the Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec and Marc Newson. It focuses on four themes: company identity, “encounters with as yet unknown talents,” exhibiting design, and process. (Electa Mondadori)
 


Wanderlust, by Michelle Nussbaumer
Michelle Nussbaumer’s first-ever work draws on her travels for inspiration for both interior projects and her Dallas store, Ceylon et Cie. Organized by mood and style, the book profiles the author’s own homes in Texas and Switzerland in addition to those of her clients. (Rizzoli)

In The Perfect Bath, Waterworks co-founder Barbara Sallick spans education and inspiration, offering a checklist about bathroom planning; decoration and design insights; and case studies with wisdom from designers and architects including Suzanne Lovell, Pamela Shamshiri, Thomas O’Brien, Lee Mindel, Gil Schafer, Tim Clarke and Steven Gambrel. (Rizzoli) 
 


Starchitecture: Scenes, Actors, and Spectacles in Contemporary Cities,
by Davide Ponzini and Michele Nastasi
Work by celebrity architects, among them Frank Gehry, Bjarke Ingels, Jean Nouvel, Zaha Hadid, Norman Foster and Rem Koolhaas, is up for discussion and analysis in this photo-heavy tome, which explores big-name projects spanning Paris, New York, Abu Dhabi, Bilbao, and Vitra’s campus in Germany. (Monacelli)
