Job Description

Office of BC is a Los Angeles based multi-disciplinary design firm seeking an Interior Designer to join our small team. We specialize in interiors for residential, retail and hospitality spaces. Driven by artistic sensitivity and collaboration, the firm values craft and craftsmanship.

As the Interior Designer, you will support the team through all phases of design and project management, to installation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-4 years of design firm experience, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, ability to multitask and well versed in design styles. Applicants must be able to work well in a collaborative environment as well as be a self-starter and willing to take initiative on a diverse range of tasks.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:
- Research and development in conceptual phase
- Sourcing and specifying furniture, fixtures, equipment and materials
- Updating and managing FF&E schedules, budgets, and timelines
- Purchasing and procurement of FF&E
- Space planning, drafting furniture plans and custom furniture in AutoCAD
- Managing scheduling and coordination of all trades and vendors for installations and project progression
- Keep clear and accessible records of all correspondence and meetings
- Building and maintaining an organized and comprehensive material library
- Site visits, workroom check-ins, showroom visits, and occasional misc. errands

Requirements:
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Google Suite
- Experience with Studio Designer is a plus
- 2 to 4 years working experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field
- Must have car and willing to drive
