Manage large-scale construction design projects with high-end clientele through all phases: concept through installation.
All projects will be started with a conceptual vision together with Allison Paladino and then creative design, work with CAD operator to compose a complete set of interior architectural drawings.
Attend team meetings with the client to understand all their needs and overall vision for the project. Space planning of all rooms, architectural detailing of the entire project interior: ceilings, moldings, floor patterns and transitions, custom door detailing, built-in designs, stone & tile layouts, railings, mantle designs, etc. Everything from soup to nuts!
Work with CAD Operators who will do on-site field measurements for an accurate set of "as built plans". Once complete work to create a full set of CAD plans. These include dimensioned construction plan, demo plan, electrical, HVAC, lighting, reflected ceiling plans, sections details and elevations of all walls required. Design all including kitchens, bathrooms, elevators, railings, etc. and submit to Allison Paladino before submitting to the client.
Help select all finishes including wood, tile, stone, etc. and submitted to Allison Paladino before submitting to the client.
Meet with GCs & Subcontractors to walk him/her through the plans and complete set of finishes for the residence so that they can bid the job.
Review all shop drawings to make sure they have followed our designs, specifications, and dimensions. Review all finish submittals.
Take part in team meetings with clients to understand their vision for the interiors and all finishes. Also visits to stone yards, tile showrooms, cabinet markers, selections of plumbing fixtures and appliances with clients.
Attend all job meetings on construction site with the GC and subcontractors to make sure things are being built per our plans/elevations. Send progress photos to the client if they are out of town and the GC is not sending them.
Minimum 15 to 20 years of professional experience in high-end residential design
BA Degree in interior design from a FIDER accredited school or architecture degree
Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D software, Adobe, and Microsoft Office required
Extensive knowledge of interior design and space planning, working knowledge of construction methods
Understanding of cabinetry construction, detailing, and related shop drawing review process
Excellent communication skills and must be a team player
Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented professional with superior analytical and problem-solving skills
This is a fast pace office so the candidate must be highly organized and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Must be able to travel both locally and out of state as projects require
Discretion is a must

Manage multiple projects from conceptual design, construction drawings & Specs to completion.
