At Market Square, head straight to Thibaut and bask in the undulating beauty of
Anna French’s fabulously flame-stitched Kamut Embroidery fabric (Suite 260). Then pop into Shoppe Object to marvel at Möbius Keramikk’s ocean wave–inspired tableware collaboration with Beach House Studio (Suites 330 & 348). Don’t leave the building without stopping by Suites at Market Square for Ngala Trading’s leather-clad Malabo mirror (G-7015)—it’s the perfect place to check your hair (and sneak a selfie). As you make your way out of the area, roll through the Commerce & Design Building for Waterford’s Copper Coast pendant at Visual Comfort & Co., an artisan-made wonder composed of handblown crystal (Suites 2A & 2G).

At Showplace, seek out Rowe Furniture’s Cassius chair, a low-profile stunner with exposed joinery (Suite 1100). Once you get to the International Home Furnishings Center, look for these two gems: Accent Decor’s beguilingly brutalist Iliad bowl (D-201, D-202 & D-246); and Rug & Kilim’s Block Print collection, which draws on antique Mogul rug patterns (H-315). Before departing the building, check out Liora Manné’s sound-absorbing Astrid Abstract upholstery, which looks like an impressionist painting (IH-204), and then take a much-needed break at Regina Andrew Detroit, where you can recharge your batteries (and phone) in the ambient glow of the natural jade stone Patricia lamp (IH-006).
