The Nickel Hotel sits on Upper King Street in Charleston, South Carolina, and spans 50 guest rooms—as well as an internal courtyard and a rooftop bar—designed by New York–based Morris Adjmi Architects. The firm’s executive director of interiors, Becca Roderick, drew from the city’s historic architecture and tree-lined Cannonborough neighborhood when crafting the idyllic retreat, outfitting it with arched doorways, vaulted ceilings and ornate ironwork. “We wanted the hotel to feel relaxed but still deeply connected to its surroundings,” she says.
