The Tabletop Show is returning September 27 through September 30 amid major renovations at FortyOne Madison. New arrivals and renovations include British brand Typhoon Homewares, opening its inaugural U.S. showroom, with 1,200 square feet to display its retro-inspired kitchen, dining and cookware products, including brands like Mason Cash, Kilner and Price & Kensington. Robinson Home Products will reveal collections from Oneida, Swish Homewares and Zing! in a newly reimagined space, and Turkish brand Pasabahce has a new space for its glass and other tabletop products.
FortyOne Madison is currently renovating the building’s entrance, lobby and lower level buyer’s lounge. “We’re in the thick of the renovation, and we are excited that it’s on schedule,” says Laurie Burns, FortyOne Madison’s director and senior vice president. “The show will go on with all 95 of our showrooms open for business and unaffected by the construction. Our temporary reception desk will be operational to register visitors and ensure everyone does so quickly and efficiently. The complimentary daily coat check will be relocated on the 10th floor, [as well as] the Media Wall, where a variety of home and lifestyle magazines are complimentary, courtesy of the publishers.”
Among the festivities are Interior Designer Day, on September 29, which begins with a breakfast featuring Kaitlin Petersen, editor of the revived Metropolitan Home magazine. The showrooms will be open until 6 p.m. that day, allowing designers to meet with company execs on-site. “Interior Designer Day has proven to be extremely valuable for interior designers, growing in-depth knowledge about this category and expanding their network of go-to resources for the types of decor details needed to complete residential as well as commercial projects,” says Burns.
