We’re just weeks away from the start of spring, and design brands are dropping fresh, feel-good collections faster than the temperatures warm up. From a concrete dining table to a hand-carved wooden crib, here are some standout launches from the past week.
Lighting lovers rejoice: Pooky has arrived in the U.S.! The beloved British brand’s stateside debut brings hundreds of delightful designs across eight product categories—including lampshades, mirrors and portable lights—in an array of styles and finishes, such as the two-tiered Loki chandelier and the rechargeable Wisteria cordless table lamp.
West Elm unveiled an exclusive collaboration with Billy Cotton. The collection spans 25 contract-grade designs punctuated by sleek silhouettes and neutral hues, including a clean-lined bed frame upholstered in creamy parchment-colored linen, and a concrete dining table with a milky-white finish and coordinating monochrome dining chairs.
Maresca Textiles released the fanciful Louise Floral design just ahead of spring. The spirited pattern is printed on a Belgian linen and cotton ground using the painterly resist technique, and it comes in six earthy muted color combinations, including the terra cotta and light blue Russet and the pea green and purplish brown Olive.
Leanne Ford’s latest collection for Crate & Barrel, Origins, is equal parts elegant and approachable. Along with a cane club chair and an oversize Chesterfield sofa swathed in sun-bleached leather, introductions include a trestle-style coffee table and a selection of chic nursery-ready pieces—including a solid wood crib with intricate hand-carved details—for Crate & Kids.
Industry West introduced two dozen designs into its ongoing collaboration with United Strangers. Additions include the concrete-tile-clad Crosby side table—complete with pale blue grouting—and the Rupert sling chair, a leather beauty with a brushed stainless steel base and a boucle bolster-pillow headrest.
Dmitriy & Co dropped three couture-quality upholstered lines for your clients to cuddle up in: Palla features four sumptuous, cast bronze-accented pieces inspired by the sinuous shape of draped cloth; Groma offers a curvy deco-style sofa and daybed; and Koper reimagines a classic tuxedo sofa with a gently rounded platform base.
Circularity-minded brand FilzFelt uncovered the Mosaik collection by Boston textile designer Kelly Harris Smith. Developed in partnership with mosaic fabrication company Artaic, the series boasts five customizable acoustic wall designs made from biodegradable wool felt tiles fashioned from manufacturing offcuts, including the Anni Albers–inspired Twill and op-art-esque Waffle.
Sarah Sherman Samuel dropped her first outdoor collection for Lulu and Georgia. The series introduces weather-resistant furniture, lighting and rugs into the Los Angeles designer’s wildly popular ongoing collaboration with the brand, including an angular wicker chaise named Marisol and the Peggy accent chair with its squiggly iron frame.
Designtex teamed up with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation to release the Elemental Wright collection. The launch pays tribute to the iconic architect’s use of nature-driven color palettes and elemental geometric shapes, offering three upholstery patterns and two wall designs, including the graphic floral Pentimento fabric and the gridlike Parquet wallcovering.
Jonathan Adler called on Instagram fashionista Angelica Hicks—granddaughter of legendary decorator David Hicks—to create a cheeky new capsule collection. The cannabis-themed debut features porcelain coasters, gold-accented canape plates and a surrealist-style rolling tray bedecked in the British artist’s witty illustrations, all of which come packaged in highly (no pun intended) collectible couture-inspired gift boxes.
MacKenzie-Childs partnered with QVC for a characterful collaboration, offering dozens of its most sought-after ceramic designs—including a checkered dinner plate and a scalloped butterfly-toile tray—through the site, with an exclusive new colorway launching live on the QVC channel on March 6.
Hot on the heels of a successful Shoppe Object showcase, fashion-forward Australian homewares brand Fazeek rolled out the limited-edition Confetti series. The sprightly trio includes a carafe, a U-shaped vase and a set of drinking glasses. The multicolored dash motif is hand-fired onto the pieces, ensuring no two are exactly alike.
