New showrooms make their debut

A multitude of showrooms have opened across the country, and a few notable moves have been made abroad. This month, New York City continues to be the first choice for brands making the move to brick-and-mortar, Atlanta is making some noise in the South, and The Future Perfect is continuing its unique shopping experience on the West Coast.

Industry City is continuing to expand its design presence with the opening of a 10,000-square-foot Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams outlet, the brand’s first. The new space offers upholstery, tables, rugs and accessories at up to 70 percent off. This opening comes a few months after ABC Carpet & Home made its Brooklyn debut at Industry City. The Summer Classics showroom is moving from the garden floor of AmericasMart to the design floor before its winter market in January because of the shift the company has noticed in its customer base. The new location positions the outdoor furniture company adjacent to its sister brand, Gabby. During 2018, Summer Classics will be debuting 100 new fabrics, accent tables and bar carts. (240 Peachtree St. NW, Atlanta)

Gabby will unveil a newly redesigned and expanded showroom at the Dallas Market Center just in time for the January 2018 Total Home & Gift Market. The showroom was designed to showcase the brand’s case goods and lighting options with a long hallway running down the center of the space, and it will also be bringing in a collection of French antiques. Midwest

Theodore Alexander is the latest design brand to join the Michigan Design Center’s roster of tenants. This is its second design center location, where it is showcasing its furniture that includes collections from designers Michael Berman and Jamie Drake.
