The weather may be cooling down, but the race for the next big design trend is just starting to heat up. From raffia-accented wallcoverings to state-of-the art ice baths, here are some of this week’s most noteworthy debuts.
Dmitriy & Co’s Fall 2024 collection is the epitome of quiet luxury. The sophisticated six-piece series strikes a balance between bold forms and understated elegance with sumptuous offerings such as the sculptural, stonework-inspired Amarn daybed; the Greek column–esque Onic sofa; and the Koper lounge chair, a voluptuous beauty with gently curved corners and inconspicuous seams.
Alexander Lamont’s new lighting collection is teeming with avant-garde appeal. The series features five fashion-forward designs outfitted in old-world artisanal details, including the shagreen-wrapped Chime pendant; the Galea lantern in rock crystal or alabaster; the gold-leafed Hedra sconce; the marquetry-clad Equinox wall light; and the Paglia floor and table lamp, a pair of statuesque pieces covered in thin strips of raw straw with limited-edition shades by Anne Corbiere Textiles.
Bunny Williams Home’s fall launches are proof the divine is in the details. Along with the lusciously lacquered Tiered drinks table and the Scallop stool—a whimsical wonder with twisting legs inspired by a treasured antique—standouts from the debut include a quartet of colorful hand-blocked coverlets and the plushly upholstered Southern Belle bed.
Arte unleashed four striking wallcovering collections—All Naturals, Pampas, Essentials Washed Linen and Essentials Brushed Suede—into showrooms nationwide. The sweeping reveal spans 30 patterns across solids, weaves and murals, with eye-catchers such as the raffia-accented Ruban, the finely threaded hemp Sombra, the panoramic Doudeville and the forest-themed Sherwood.
Amber Lewis dropped her latest collection for Loloi just ahead of High Point Fall Market. The coastal cool debut features 45 vintage-fueled rug designs—including the A-list designer’s first-ever line of machine-washable styles—as well as an array of playfully patterned throw pillows and fiber-based artworks, such as the fringed Joshua and the striped Descanso.
Brooklyn architecture firm AlexAllen Studio introduced an insanely sleek chandelier into its cutting-edge Cane family. The minimalist design, called Cane Cluster, is composed of curved steel and showcases three slender, arching arms with integrated LED lights that emit a warm downward glow.
London-based brand Yarn Collective teamed up with Sister by Studio Ashby for the Jocasta range. The collaboration introduces five craft-driven textile patterns in several vibrant colorways: the kente-cloth-esque Afua; the quiltlike Patch; the nubby Ismay Bouclé; the velvet Marci; and our current crush, Disa, a jacquard-loomed charmer covered in contrasting orchids.
Minted launched a designer-friendly collection of original art exclusively for trade members. The series offers 36 works by eight independent artists—who sell and ship their work directly from their studios—ranging from Jennifer Daily’s ethereal paintings to mixed-media pieces by Keren Toledano and the speckled, splatter-style “Take Flight” by Christa Kimble.
Parete unveiled a fresh crop of characterful, autumn-ready wallcoverings. In addition to the atmospheric Moody Beech and the frond-filled Talk to the Palma, highlights from the seven-pattern release include the floral La Rosalia, the striped Kris and Chic Le Freak, a silk-woven stunner with a striated ombre motif.
Larry Roberts Chicago rolled out its inaugural line of textiles. Custom-printed on a medley of fabric fibers and wallcovering grounds, newcomers from the series—which draws from original paintings by the late artist—include the shibori-esque Ink Well, the polychromatic Kaleidoscope, and the dazzling, jewel-tone-infused Ocean Depth.
Kohler released an ice bath in collaboration with Jonathan Leary, the founder of membership-based social wellness club Remedy Place. The of-the-moment launch reimagines traditional cold plunges—a form of cold water immersion that provides health and mood-boosting benefits—as a sleek, ergnomic design complete with a state-of-the-art UV-powered filtration system, precision temperature control, and an integrated light to help guide breathwork.
