Laura Lubin isn’t quite ready to let go of autumn. The Nashville-based designer behind Ellerslie Interiors draws inspiration from the rich colors and plush textiles that define the designs of the season. “To me, fall is all about feeling a sense of warmth and coziness within your surroundings,” she tells Business of Home.
Brimming with earthy mineral tones and tactile organic finishes, her flat lay was fashioned with the lush shades of fall foliage in mind. “Nothing is better than a hot cup of coffee on a brisk morning, looking outside at all the [colorful] leaves,” she says. “I used a mix of materials to evoke that feeling.”
A well-balanced blend of creamy neutrals and natural textures creates a soothing backdrop for the scheme, while a medley of deep, warm hues—ranging from bright orange to rusty red—adds depth and dimension. “This palette provides the perfect combination of sophistication and beauty, while still having fun with patterns and materials,” says Lubin.
