The Product Manager is responsible for owning the development of assigned product categories and vendor relationships, driving product from concept through production. This role blends creative product development with strong execution, requiring both a keen eye for trend and design as well as the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This individual will contribute to building compelling, market-driven assortments across seasonal décor lines, partnering closely with design, sourcing, and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is product-focused and proactive—someone who thinks beyond data entry, understands the Raz product aesthetic, and actively contributes ideas that elevate the overall assortment.
This position manages assigned product categories and vendor relationships throughout the product-development process, from initial concept through final sample production. The role requires developing a strong understanding of RAZ product lines, materials, finishes, construction methods, market trends, and assortment opportunities.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with Design on product ideas, identifying gaps within the assortment, and partnering with overseas vendors to develop samples, refine product details, and ensure products meet design, cost, quality, and commercial standards. The position manages multiple development timelines and ensures deadlines are met for design reviews, catalogs, showrooms, and product launches.
The role is also responsible for maintaining accurate product information, timelines, and development records using Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, and PLM systems. Additional responsibilities include analyzing quote sheets and proforma invoices, creating and managing sample purchase orders and allocations, and tracking development, catalog, and showroom samples from the factory through warehouse receipt.
This position works closely with Design, Sales, Sourcing, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising to maintain alignment throughout the development process. The individual will present product ideas, development updates, and project progress to internal stakeholders. Sales data and historical product performance will be used to support decision-making while maintaining a proactive, forward-looking approach to strengthening and evolving the product assortment.
Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and at least five years of experience in product development, product management, or a related field. Experience managing product categories, vendor relationships, and multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is preferred.
