The departing team is planning to work on new projects and to continue initiatives at Pointed Leaf Press. Slesin explained in an email addressed to friends and colleagues: “We are very proud of the first three issues of Galerie we created over the past year and a half. With its original content, its visionary layouts, and its high-quality production, we were pleased to be able to create and present stories and layouts that would best highlight and illustrate your work. We are very grateful for all your help, support, and most of all, your faith in us—all elements that were crucial in helping us put together the first issues, which were, we are happy to say, extremely well received by readers, advertisers—both present and future—and professionals in the fields of design, architecture, interiors and art.”

The replacement editorial team has not yet been announced. Lisa Cohen noted that the publication has been named one of the “hottest” launches of the year by Media Industry News, saying, “Industry and reader response to Galerie, a truly fresh idea, has been exceptional. I am grateful to everyone involved. The most important factor in launching a successful magazine is the ability to evolve, and as we look ahead to 2017, we are excited to grow the brand in print, online, nationally and internationally.”

The magazine’s third issue will be published in early December.
