Seeking a Senior Interior Designer, highly organized and experienced in leading and managing interior design projects from conceptualization to completion. This role involves working closely with the principal, design team, clients, contractors, and vendors to complete projects to the standard and expectation of the studio. This role is both architectural and decorative, so experience in both is preferred. Candidates must be skilled in management of junior staff, time management, delegating & production through all project phases.
Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent work experience.
Experience (7-10 years) in high-end bespoke interior design projects, reflected in portfolio / work samples.
Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD, Studio Designer, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite required. 3D rendering (Sketchup, rhino) encouraged.
Excellent communication & presentation skills; verbal & visual (schematic / design development presentations, in-person and virtual meetings, and physical material scheme)
Experience in designing custom furniture, furniture drawings and coordination with fabricators.
Strong furniture, materials and fabric sourcing abilities, knowledge of vendors/galleries and historical design.
Understanding of construction processes, project management, and experience coordinating with architects / contractors both virtually and on-site.
Leadership and project management abilities, including budget, time management, and project phases.
