Forty One Madison, the premier tabletop destination, opened its doors this month for The New York Tabletop Market, inviting buyers, designers and industry experts from around the world. There are over 200 leading brands and manufacturers in the building and many debuted new and noteworthy collections while others revealed new showrooms.
Dansk partnered with La Colombe for the Koffie collection while Riedel’s high-performance stems reached new heights in glassware. Pickard China introduced cobalt flatware and Porcel released two dinnerware collections: Adamastor and Blue Legacy. Lenox Corporation’s innovative Luna collection made its market debut, and Crystal House International introduced new Judith Ripka Home and Halston Heritage designs.
Alessi extended the Circus collection by Marcel Wanders and introduced the Caffa travel mugs. Iittala debuted Ruutu, Miranda and Nappula, Jay Companies displayed its new collection with Trina Turk, and Saint-Louis introduced constellation-inspired vases. Hampton Forge’s Tomodachi introduced environmentally friendly kitchen tools and Villeroy & Boch debuted the Metro Chic Blanc collection. Herend released new limited-edition figurines, Christofle introduced a new flatware set, and Spode’s Heritage collection celebrates the brand’s 250th anniversary.
Veteran showroom Daum-Haviland relocated to a new, larger space on the sixth floor. Eleven75 Home recently launched and now calls the 10th floor its U.S. corporate headquarters. Blue Pheasant, part of the Ardmore Home Design family of brands, set up shop on the eighth floor and features frames from sister brand Pigeon & Poodle, as well as candles and scent diffusers by Thucassi. Renowned Portuguese tableware brands Costa Nova and Casafina are new to the 22nd floor and display collections from both brands with an emphasis on the hospitality industry.
