We are seeking a driven VP of East Coast Recruitment to lead searches end-to-end, deepen and expand studio relationships, and play a key role in scaling the platform’s growth to new markets.

Role Overview

This role blends client management, headhunting, and business development—managing 60+ accounts while partnering closely with senior designers, architects, hiring managers, and studio principals.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management
• Connect with clients to understand role requirements, culture, and search parameters
• Manage searches from kickoff through placement
• Coordinate candidate interviews and scheduling
• Gather and synthesize client and candidate feedback
• Discuss and confirm salary expectations with candidates
• Present and negotiate offers
• Ensure a seamless experience for both studios and candidates

2. Recruitment
• Conduct proactive outreach via cold calls, LinkedIn, social media, email, and referrals
• Source and identify qualified Designers aligned with high-end, specialized studios
• Screen candidates for experience, technical skill, and culture fit
• Maintain accurate records within internal systems
• Build long-term relationships with top design talent

3. Business Development
• Conduct targeted outreach to prospective studios via email, LinkedIn, and phone
• Support growth initiatives and market expansion
• Maintain relationships with existing clients and identify repeat opportunities
• Represent DukeTalent.io with professionalism and polish

Qualifications

• 2–6+ years experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or agency search. High-end design/architecture experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable interacting with senior-level Designers & Architects, as well as Hiring Managers & Principals
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Hunter mentality: recruiting is sales
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple searches and initiatives simultaneously
• Genuine interest in design, architecture, interiors
• Polished, discreet, and professional
