Sales Assistant

Position Overview
The Sales Assistant is an administrative and customer-facing role responsible for supporting showroom sales operations and ensuring an exceptional client experience. This position assists customers in the showroom, via email, and over the phone, all while upholding Verellen’s commitment to service excellence and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive sales support and perform administrative duties as assigned by the Showroom Manager.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and calendar management to support communication and scheduling.
• Greet and engage prospective clients with a polished, professional introduction to the Verellen brand and product offerings.
• Generate quotes and sales orders promptly and accurately.
• Conducting follow-up on outstanding quotes to convert leads to confirmed sales.
• Provide clients with timely updates regarding order status, production timelines, and delivery schedules.
• Manage showroom inventory—including fabric and finish samples—ensuring organization, accessibility, and accuracy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all orders, quotes, and related activity in internal systems.
• Oversee showroom operations in the absence of the Showroom Team to ensure uninterrupted customer service.
• Assist in preparing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the High Point Headquarters.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator with a background or interest in design. The Sales Assistant manages order tracking and follow-up, ensuring accuracy and timely communication with clients and internal teams. Working closely with the Sales & Showroom Director and the Customer Service team, this role contributes to sales growth, account development, and brand representation for Verellen.

Job Requirements

Required Skills & Competencies
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of ERP/ERM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and standard business equipment.

• Problem Solving & Analysis: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills; able to resolve issues in person, via email, and over the phone.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate's degree in business or a related field.
• Experience with CRM software and inventory management systems.
• Excel
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and terminology.
• Experience of 3-5 years in Customer Service or related field.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (hours may vary as needed).
