We are seeking a Junior Designer to work directly with the Principal in our Venice studio. This is a hands-on role in an immersive, focused environment. You will be involved in every layer of the process from deep-dive historical research and international sourcing to technical documentation and on-site execution. We seek a designer who can seamlessly integrate significant 20th-century collections with contemporary studio-led works to create a cohesive, lived-in environment.
Responsibilities
Sourcing and Curation: Research and identify 20th-century furniture and lighting and engage with contemporary studios and makers for custom commissions.
Design Presentations: Advanced command of InDesign to execute refined mood boards and client decks to clearly communicate design concepts. You will lead the visual organization of project presentations to ensure consistency with the studio brand.
Project Support: Assist in the development of design concepts and material palettes and help maintain the organization of the studio's physical and digital libraries.
Purchasing & Procurement: Work alongside the Design Assistant to manage the lifecycle of project orders—ensuring specification accuracy, tracking lead times, and coordinating logistics across multiple projects.
Studio Support: Collaborate directly with the Principal on day-to-day creative and administrative tasks to move projects from concept to installation.
1 to 3 years of experience in high-end residential design.
Advanced command of InDesign; must be comfortable managing complex layouts, typography, and large-scale project decks.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
A deep, self-driven interest in design history and global sourcing.
Exceptional organizational skills and a proactive hunter mentality.
Must be local to Los Angeles and able to work daily from our Venice studio.
Experience with AutoCAD and the development of technical drawing sets is a plus.
