Marketing & PR Manager
Company: SEAN LEFFERS
Duration: Full-time
Date Posted: 01/04/26
Category: Sales & Marketing
Location: Topanga
Salary: 100-150k
Job Description

Sean Leffers is a design-driven textile house rooted in historic references, traditional handcraft, and global production partnerships. The company produces refined, character-rich textiles for the interiors trade and works closely with master artisans and mills around the world.

As the company enters a significant growth phase, we are seeking a Marketing & PR Manager to lead the execution of brand, marketing, and communications initiatives across press, launches, and sales support.

This role is responsible for translating creative direction into a cohesive, disciplined public presence and ensuring that marketing, PR, sales, and operations remain aligned as the business scales. Working closely with the CEO & Creative Director, Director of Sales, and Director of Operations, the Marketing & PR Manager serves as a connective force across the organization—bringing structure, clarity, and follow-through to complex projects.

Key responsibilities include owning marketing timelines for collections and showroom launches; coordinating photography, copy, lookbooks, and digital assets; and ensuring all materials are delivered on time and to a high standard. The role also serves as the primary internal liaison to the company’s PR agency, managing press calendars, interviews, and materials with an emphasis on quality and alignment rather than volume.

Launch windows are fixed. This role is focused on disciplined advance planning—ensuring that marketing, press, and sales support are fully prepared and aligned with production and inventory readiness well ahead of launch.

The role oversees external creatives, including a contract graphic designer and other partners. While not primarily a design position, the ability to make design edits and fill in gaps when needed is valued as a practical support skill.

This is a hands-on, mid-to-senior role suited to someone with strong judgment, excellent taste, and operational rigor.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 7–10+ years of experience in marketing, public relations, or communications, preferably within interiors, fashion, design, or other culturally driven brands. Experience working in design-forward environments is strongly preferred.

Candidates should have demonstrated experience managing PR agencies and freelance creatives, as well as coordinating multiple timelines and stakeholders with precision. Strong project management skills and comfort working cross-functionally across the company are essential.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with high visual literacy and sensitivity to brand nuance. The successful candidate will be able to translate creative direction into clear, consistent messaging and assets while maintaining discipline as scale and complexity increase.

Hands-on familiarity with tools such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma are preferred for production work, revisions, and asset preparation. This role is not intended to replace dedicated design support; candidates should demonstrate good judgment about when to execute personally and when to brief and manage external designers.

The role requires someone who is organized, proactive, and calm under pressure, with a strong orientation toward preparation rather than last-minute problem-solving. Candidates should be comfortable managing agencies, providing clear briefs, and maintaining quality standards gracefully.

Discretion, reliability, and professionalism are important, as is the ability to operate thoughtfully in a high-touch, relationship-driven business.

Location: Topanga, CA (hybrid; regular in-office time expected)
Compensation: $95,000–$125,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits eligible.

About our Company

Sean Leffers is a design-driven textile house working at the intersection of historic reference, traditional handcraft, and contemporary interiors. The company produces refined, character-rich textiles for the trade, drawing on a deep personal archive of historic fabrics and working closely with skilled artisans and mills around the world.

Founded by Sean Leffers, the company is rooted in a belief that the most enduring textiles carry both cultural memory and material integrity. Collections are developed slowly and deliberately, with an emphasis on natural fibers, hand techniques, and processes that privilege depth and longevity over speed or trend.

Production partnerships span multiple regions, with a particular focus on traditional weaving, printing, and finishing methods. These relationships are long-term and collaborative, supporting both technical excellence and continuity of craft. Fabrics are designed to age gracefully and to feel at home in interiors that value restraint, texture, and nuance.

We sell exclusively to the trade and are represented through a select group of showrooms. The company is currently in a period of measured growth, expanding its collections and market presence while maintaining close attention to quality, execution, and operational discipline.

Internally, the company operates with a lean, highly collaborative structure. Creative direction, sales, operations, and marketing are tightly coordinated to support fixed launch windows and a global production schedule. The focus is on preparation rather than improvisation, ensuring that launches are supported calmly and consistently.

As the business grows, the goal remains the same: to produce textiles of lasting character, to work thoughtfully with partners and clients, and to build a company that values clarity, craft, and care in equal measure.
