The Role
We’re looking for a part-time Gallery & Sales Coordinator (4 days/week) to support the daily rhythm of the showroom. This role blends client-facing hospitality, sales, operations, and curatorial support. It’s ideal for someone with a strong organizational mind, an interest in design, and the drive to grow within a creative business. This role is an ideal fit for someone with a refined sense of client service and the ability to steward a project from first conversation to final purchase.
Responsibilities
Welcome and engage designers, collectors, and visitors; offer an elevated, informed showroom experience.
Reach out and invite potential customers and interested parties
Assist with lead generation, follow-ups, proposals, and preparing quotes.
Support sales by tracking inquiries, updating systems, and coordinating logistics.
Maintain showroom presentation: rotating pieces, light styling, prepping for appointments and events.
Help plan and host previews, small gatherings, and showroom activations.
Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and shippers; support basic project and order management.
Provide administrative support to the Founder on sales, marketing, and operations tasks.
Social media support and ideation
Showroom rental management as needed
You Are
Professional, warm, presentable, and proactive — someone who genuinely enjoys people and details.
A self starter who thrives with responsibility and autonomy.
Strong at communication and comfortable in a client-facing environment.
Organized, resourceful, and able to bring structure to a small, fast-moving studio.
Interested in design, interiors, materials, and the gallery ecosystem.
Experienced in a gallery, design, or creative business on the sales or business end
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Arts Management, Marketing, or a related discipline.
French speaking is a plus (not essential)
Schedule
Part-time, 4 days per week on-site in SoHo, Tuesday-Friday, 11am-6pm. Additional hours by appointment depending on workflow.
Compensation
Hourly compensation
Commission on sales, with earning potential tied directly to performance

About Slash Objects
Slash Objects is a design studio and gallery working at the intersection of collectible design and the world of interior architecture. Our SoHo showroom serves as both an exhibition space and a creative hub for new collections. We create design objects and furniture, often with integrated audio equipment.
