We are looking for a Production Manager with LEAN training and furniture experience. We are seeing exceptional growth and need strong production and systems leadership. This is a perfect position for someone that is looking to take the next big step in their career development, with a company that is growing. I am looking for a strong right-hand person.
Position will have responsibility for:
1) All in-house production. (Team development, production planning, on-time %, first time quality %)
2) Management of outsource vendors. (Scheduling, product movement, vendor relationships, finding new sources/vendors)
3) Develop and maintain LEAN metrics, continuous improvement, and 5S standards
Experience Required:
1) Strong background in operations excellence; with a focus on LEAN methodology. LEAN certifications or coursework preferred. Minimum 5-7 Years experience is preferred.
2) History of developing efficiencies and improved performance through continuous improvement, metrics, and 5S.
2) Excellent leadership traits to help develop our team, and create a strong culture.
3) Experience working with MRP systems. Must have strong computer skills. We use a system called Odoo.
4) Experience in the home furnishings industry is ideal, but other experience in manufacturing high-mix, low quantity or luxury goods.
1) Our 16,000 sq ft workshop is located in South El Monte, and we have outsource vendors scattered around central LA.
2) This is a salary position, plus bonus. We offer healthcare, paid time off, holidays, etc.
