ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Augusta Hoffman Studio is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Freelance Procurement Specialist with expertise in organization, logistics, ordering systems, and financial tracking from project inception to final delivery. The ideal candidate will have had a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a procurement role at a boutique design firm and a can-do attitude. Applicants need to be personable, highly organized, self-motivated and excel at managing the entire procurement, delivery, installation and reconciliation process for a variety of projects at one time. This is a dynamic, young, blossoming company suited for somebody eager to take ownership of his/her work and be an integral member of key projects for the studio. This position will be a full-time six-month temporary position while a team member is on maternity leave.

Job Requirements

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in project management or an adjacent role
Interior design firm experience with installation and onsite experience
Strong knowledge of design resources and vendors
Working knowledge of design principles and aesthetics
Strong G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or Microsoft Office comparable skills
Studio Designer or Houzz Pro knowledge a plus but not required
Highly organized and able to prioritize/multitask to adhere to project schedules
Experience managing client budgets, internal expense reports and banking transactions
Prepare accurate and up-to-date tracking documents for weekly meetings so the design team can ensure everything is aligning with other aspects of the project
Demonstrated ability to self-manage
Ability to work as a team and help facilitate a positive working environment
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
Proactive logistical thinking and planning for shipments and installation
Well-versed in international shipping and customs regulations
Confident and polished
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a flexible working style and a willingness to adapt to the daily needs of the studio
Experience working with high profile clientele
Excellent problem-solving, analytic, and organizational skills
Experience negotiating pricing, large orders and lead times with vendors and partners
High-level of integrity and dependability
Detail oriented and extremely organized
Ability to prioritize and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
Confident, proactive, able to anticipate the next steps forward
A problem-solver and “do-er”; no task is too small
Proven ability to see a task through to the end
Liaise with clients after move in to deliver exceptional customer service and expedited assistance with any issues or additional ordering that may arise
Ability to work in the US and in-person in New York City
