Interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard will join previously announced Sir David Adjaye as a featured speaker on June 24 during Dwell on Design in Los Angeles. The fair will also launch the new AIA Los Angeles Photography Awards, and the debut of the Architecture & Design Film Festival.
The first annual AIA Photography Awards will involve 77 participants from both the organization’s chapter and the community, presenting some 200 photos that showcase architecture, design and the built environment. Also premiering for the first time at Dwell on Design, the Architecture & Design Film Festival will present short and feature films at the Dwell Outdoor pavilion daily.
Dwell on Design Home Tours returns this year, with self-guided tours through a number of design-centric homes running June 24 and 25, as well as the accompanying Meet the Architects Night on June 22 at West Hollywood’s Pacific Design Center, where attendees can meet the talents behind the featured homes.
