Lighting and furniture brand Jamie Young Co. announced Paul Sklar has been named vice president of sales and business development. Sklar was previously the executive consultant and advisor for merchandising and brand development at The Beacon; prior to that, he was senior vice president of global retail merchandising, product development, brand strategy and visual for Ashley Global Retail.
Milton & King, the luxury wallpaper brand, promoted DeAnna Hain to president of U.S. operations. Hain joined the brand in April 2025 as the division’s head of marketing. Before that, she was marketing director at Surya and executive vice president of marketing at York Wallcoverings.
The RW Collective, a to-the-trade furniture resource, hired Ashley Strahan Barnett to lead merchandising for the brand’s domestic upholstery division, RW Classics. Barnett joins from upholstery company HM Richards, where she held the same position of director of merchandising.
Scalamandré welcomed Audrey Margarite as the new marketing director. Margarite was previously the marketing creative director at Kravet. Before that, she was the co-founder of e-commerce site Fete Home and the longtime creative director of Bunny Williams Home.
Retail & Manufacturing
B&B Italia Group CEO Demetrio Apolloni announced he was leaving the company. Apolloni joined the brand in December 2023, and was previously the chief business development officer for Haworth’s Lifestyle group, which includes brands like Cappellini, Cassina, Janus et Cie, and Poltrona Frau.
Bertazzoni, the Italian appliance manufacturer, appointed Kevin Headley as CEO for North America. Headley brings experience as the vice president of sales for building products company Construction Resources and appliance brand Rinnai America Corporation.
Hooker Furnishings announced that Adam Tilley will be the new president of Hooker Branded, overseeing the company’s case goods and upholstery. Tilley was previously the president of the former Hooker brands Pulaski Furniture and Samuel Lawrence Furniture, which were sold to Magnussen Home Furnishings in December. He was also previously chief product officer at Magnussen.
Palazzo AI, the AI-powered interior visualization platform founded by Venus Williams, appointed Rich Peterson as its chief revenue officer and Iris Yami Palmer from director of business development to director of customer success and growth. Peterson is the co-founder and former CEO of OfficeFurniture.com and FurnitureOnline.com; Palmer was director of home and furniture sales at All3D and led digital account management for trade show company Andmore.
Coco Republic welcomed Brett Kladney as senior vice president and creative director. Kladney is the founder and CEO of design consultancy Hacienda:Hda and was previously the vice president of design and product development for Pottery Barn.
Furniture dealer Henricksen welcomed Gina Parker as its new director of health care strategy. Parker joins the company from Continua Interiors, where she worked for more than five years, most recently as vice president of health care sales.
Design & Architecture
PJCArchitecture has appointed Juliana Sorzano to project manager for its new Florida office in Coconut Grove. Sorzano has been project manager of the firm’s New York office since 2015.
Greenwich, Connecticut–based Renée Byers Landscape Architect has promoted Kevin Costello to studio director and senior associate and Greta Mattheis to associate. They joined the firm as landscape designers in 2021 and 2024, respectively.
Media & PR
Jack Murphy has been appointed editor in chief of AN media Group’s The Architect’s Newspaper and AN Interior. Murphy joined the company in April 2022 as managing editor and became executive editor a year later.
McGraw PR has promoted Sarah Olcott from media coordinator to account executive. Olcott’s experience includes director of communication and marketing for Ateliers Courbet and gallery manager at The Hole’s New York location.
Industry Organizations
Safi, the company that operates the French trade show Maison&Objet, welcomed former Kalima Blockchain chief executive Vincent Lhoste as its new CEO.
Emre Basman, CEO of Armina Stone and Armina Luxe, has joined the board of directors of the Latin Builders Association in Miami. Basman founded Armina Stone in 2015 and has been at the helm ever since.
