Italian lighting brand Foscarini commissioned Italian artist-photographer Gianluca Vassallo to create a photo series celebrating the brand’s lamps and the landscapes of Sardinia.

“Thinking about a bonfire made of many lamps and a lone guitar, about sunset on the water next to a white Tuareg, and a thousand other stories on the borderline between the lightness of the body and the joy of sensations,” Vassallo says. “This is the spirit with which I have constructed ‘Postcards of Light, the Summer Edition.’”

The result of the commission: “Postcards of Light— Summer Edition,” the latest iteration of a continuing partnership with Foscarini, following other chapters in Stockholm, Milan and New York. Says the brand, “With this original artistic project, Foscarini reinforces its role as a company to address art, creativity and design culture above and beyond products.”
