Before the Ohio Design Centre (ODC) opened in 1982, area designers were forced to travel to Chicago or New York to shop for clients. About 30 years later, ODC, located in Beachwood just outside of Cleveland, is home to eight showrooms spread over 100,000 square feet, and is the premier resource for the Ohio design industry including major cities: Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati.

Once only open to the trade, the ODC now offers “on call” design professionals who are available to help retail consumers shop the exclusive showrooms and provide 30-minute consultations every Friday.

In addition, the ‘Design Connection’ service helps connect consumers with the region’s top interior design professionals. Consumers are able to browse each designer portfolio to find a style and designer who appeals to them.

ODC showrooms include: Atelier Lapchi, Baker Knapp & Tubbs, Bello Design, Donghia, Gregory Alonso Showrooms, A.E. Monroe & Company, R.W. Shea & Co. and Surface Materials. Together, they represent over 400 lines of fabrics, furniture, decorative accessories, lighting, wallcoverings, original artwork, contemporary rugs and more.

“In addition to the endless inspiration found in its showrooms, The Ohio Design Centre offers a variety of educational programs that have helped enhance the knowledge of area design professionals,” said Amber Gallihar, Spokesperson for the ODC.
